MUSIC BY JAKE ENTERS AGREEMENT WITH CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINMENT DISTRIBUTOR ‘FIRE THE IMAGINATION’

January 31, 2006 -- MUSIC BY JAKE is happy to announce that Jake’s award-winning children’s CD TAKE A LITTLE RIDE WITH ME and HAPPY ALL OF THE TIME will be available at fine children’s toy and book stores across Canada, as a result of a new agreement with children’s entertainment distributor FIRE THE IMAGINATION. The arrangement is effective immediately.

"Jake offers rich musicianship and talented songwriting in a package children will love,” comments FIRE THE IMAGINATION co-founder Stephanie Tucker. “As always we strive to provide great fun for children in a format parents appreciate. Music by Jake is just that."

Both CDs were entirely written by children’s songwriter/performer JAKE, and are performed by Jake and a collection of talented musicians. HAPPY ALL OF THE TIME was released in 2005, and is fast becoming a favourite amongst children and parents in Jake’s home province of British Columiba. TAKE A LITTLE RIDE WITH ME won a 2004 Parents’ Choice Gold Award, one of 10 awards given to children’s music CDs that are “judged as the highest quality, most appealing products in their genre” across North America.

“I am very pleased that my CDs will be represented at FIRE THE IMAGINATION, along with so many other great products for children,” says JAKE. “I really admire the work that Kyle and Stephanie (Tucker) are doing to promote quality children’s entertainment in Canada.”

JAKE has been a full-time children’s songwriter and performer for several years, and his CDs are being heralded as a vibrant new addition to the children’s music scene. Parents, educators and critics rave about Jake’s gently humourous lyrics, varied musical genres, and the use of many different live instruments (there are no drum machines or sequencers on Jake CDs).
