AWARD-WINNING CHILDREN’S
ARTIST JAKE DIFFER RELEASES 3RD CD ZIGGY ZAGGY ROAD; LIVE
SHOW WITH FULL BAND AT BADER THEATRE DECEMBER 15TH, 2 pm

Award-winning children’s musician and Juno nominee
Jake is back with fifteen brand new songs on his third CD
for young people, ZIGGY ZAGGY ROAD, featuring guest appearances
by Cadence, Pierre Schryer, Silken Laumann and more. Many
of these songs will be featured when Jake, accompanied by
a full band, take to the stage at the Isabel Bader Theater
in Toronto on December 15, 2007 at 2 pm.
Highlights
of the richly produced ZIGGY ZAGGY ROAD CD include two-time
Juno Nominee Cadence adding hilarious a capella inserts
to a swing jazz tune, and Silken Laumann providing a spoken
word interlude on “Child’s Play”, originally
written as the theme song for her recent book.
Jake
(full name Jake Differ) and his band will perform much of
the new album at the “Ziggy Zaggy Road Show”
presentation at the Isabel Bader Theatre, Toronto, December
15th, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Jake will be joined on stage by veteran
Toronto guitarist Mitchell Lewis, Loco Zydeco’s Sameday
Ray Walsh, and select members of the Peterborough Children’s
Chorus, amongst others. The show is a presentation of the
Vic Alumni Association, and is open to the public. Tickets

Jake’s
unique songwriting style and commitment to creating rich
musical landscapes for children has been much acclaimed
in the children’s music world. His last CD HAPPY ALL
OF THE TIME was a 2006 Juno Nominee for “Children’s
Album of the Year”and TAKE A LITTLE RIDE WITH ME won
the prestigious Parents’ Choice Gold Award in 2004,
as one of the Top 10 audio CDs for children in North America.
His unforgettable live performance has become a popular
favourite at festivals and events from Vancouver to Halifax,
and his music enjoys radio and podcast play all across North
America.
